Vijñāna Yoga · Verse 14

दैवी ह्येषा गुणमयी मम माया दुरत्यया | मामेव ये प्रपद्यन्ते मायामेतां तरन्ति ते

daivī hy eṣā guṇa-mayī mama māyā duratyayā | mām eva ye prapadyante māyām etāṃ taranti te

This divine energy of Mine constituted by the guṇas is difficult to transcend. But those who take refuge in Me alone cross beyond this māyā.

Daivī māyā — divine power, illusory energy of God. It is guṇa-mayī (made of guṇa) and duratyayā (difficult to cross/surpass). The world is māyā — not illusion in the sense of “unreal,” but “what measures/what is measured,” the power of manifestation.

Solution: mām eva prapadyante — they surrender/take refuge solely in Me. The devotees taranti (cross) this māyā. Surrender is the path.
