Yo ceva brāhmaṇoti vuccati, so ceva brāhmaṇo hoti; So ceva brāhmaṇoti vuccati, so eva brāhmaṇo hoti.

Who is called Brahman, is Brahman; who is called Brahman, is truly Brahman.
After seven verses on sīla, the Dhammapada returns to the theme of name. Virtue is the foundation, but name follows reality.
The coincidence between name and being is not automatic. Only the authentic brāhmaṇa deserves the name.
