Yo ceva brāhmaṇoti vuccati, so ceva brāhmaṇo hoti; So ceva brāhmaṇoti vuccati, so eva brāhmaṇo hoti.
Yo ceva brāhmaṇoti vuccati, so ceva brāhmaṇo hoti; so ceva brāhmaṇoti vuccati, so eva brāhmaṇo hoti.
Who is called Brahman, is Brahman; who is called Brahman, is truly Brahman.
The Dhammapada closes its reflection on the brāhmaṇa with the same affirmation that opens the chapter.
The name is correct when reality precedes it. The Buddha reclaims the term brāhmaṇa from the castes and returns it to practice.
