Saptamopadeśaḥ (Samādhi) · Verse 18

ज्ञानयोगं ततः प्रोक्तं योगिनां सिद्धिदायकम् | तत्प्रकारं प्रवक्ष्यामि शृणु त्वं कमलानने ||

jñānayogaṃ tataḥ proktaṃ yogināṃ siddhidāyakam | tatprakāraṃ pravakṣyāmi śṛṇu tvaṃ kamalānane ||

The sixth samādhi: Jñāna yoga — union through knowledge. Jñāna is not intellectual knowledge but direct knowledge, realization.

It is the path of discrimination (viveka) — discerning the real from the unreal, the permanent from the transient, the self from what is not.

“Giver of perfection” — true knowledge destroys ignorance (avidyā), which is the cause of suffering. To know the truth is to be free.
