Viparīta Karaṇī, Vajrolī and Śakti Cālana; These are the ten mudras that destroy old age and death.
This verse completes the list of the ten main mudrās of Haṭha Yoga.Viparīta Karaṇī — the inverted action — is an inversion posture that reverses the flow of bindu (life essence).Vajrolī is an advanced tantric practice related to the sublimation of sexual energy.
Śakti Cālana — movement of the śakti — is the technique of directly agitating the Kuṇḍalinī energy through prāṇāyāma and specific movements.
Jarā-maraṇa-nāśanam — destroyers of old age and death. This is the central promise of mudrās: transcending biological limitations through the manipulation of prāṇa and the awakening of Kuṇḍalinī.The ten mudrās form a complete system for this purpose.
