Pañcamaḥ paṭalaḥ (Dhyāna) · Verse 171

मृत्युकाले प्लुतं देहं त्रिवेण्याः सलिले यदा ।

mṛtyukāle plutaṃ dehaṃ triveṇyāḥ salile yadā |

Undoubtedly, by this contemplation the highest success (maha-siddhi) is obtained, by making the mind functionless; he himself becomes perfectly Full.

This passage reflects the tantric understanding of death not as an end, but as an opportunity for final liberation. Constant practice of contemplation prepares the yogi for this crucial moment, allowing him to maintain elevated consciousness even in the death trance. This concept is central to many yogic traditions that view death as a doorway to ultimate realization.
