Pañcamaḥ paṭalaḥ (Dhyāna) · Verse 172

नातःपरतरं गुह्यं त्रिषु लोकेषु विद्यते ।

nātaḥparataraṃ guhyaṃ triṣu lokeṣu vidyate |

He who practices this always, is the real passionless Yogi, he never uses the word “I”, but always finds himself full of atman.

The concept of the ‘passionless yogi’ who never uses the word ‘I’ reflects the advanced stage of asamprajnata samadhi described in Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras. This state represents complete transcendence of ahamkara (ego-principle). The constant experience of atman indicates the yogi has realized his true nature as pure consciousness beyond all limitations.
