The formal opening of the mantrasādhanā section with the announcement «now I shall explain» (adhunā sampravakṣyāmi) marks a tonal shift: from philosophical reflection to direct practical instruction. Mantra is presented as the most excellent of all methods (uttama), the one integrating in a single practice all the worldly and spiritual benefits described in the chapter.
Mantrasādhana = mantra practice (mantra = instrument of the mind, of thought; from man = to think + tra = instrument), adhunā = now, in this moment, sampravakṣyāmi = I shall explain completely (sam = completely, pra = forward, vakṣyāmi = I shall speak). Uttama = the highest, the best.
The mantrasādhanā as the chapter’s final synthesis reflects sound’s central role in tantric thought. The entire universe is sonic vibration (nāda-brahman) and mantra is the intentional vibration that reattunes the practitioner to the most subtle level of that original vibration. Mantra functions not by magic but by resonance: the correct recitation of bījas activates the same centers (cakras) that the physical techniques of haṭhayoga address.
