Śivasaṃhitā 5.87

Physical transformation accompanies spiritual awakening inseparably. The kānti (luminosity) of the body is not metaphor but real physiological consequence: the increase of jāṭharāgni (digestive-metabolic fire) transforms internal chemistry, producing a kind of bodily alchemy that Nātha texts call kāya-siddhi.

Kānti designates radiated brightness and beauty (kāntis = radiance), jāṭhara refers to the abdomen as seat of digestive and transformative fire, agni is the igneous principle permeating all levels of being. Khecarī literally means «one who moves in space» (khe = space/ether, carī = moving), designating both levitation and expanded consciousness beyond physical limits.

The khecarī-siddhi in this mūlādhāra context differs from the celebrated khecarī-mudrā of the tongue described in chapter 4. Here it concerns an early mastery over the air element (vāyu) that emerges upon activating the earth center, illustrating how siddhis develop in cascade, from the densest elements toward the most subtle.
