Daivāsura-Sampad-Vibhāga Yoga · Verse 15

आढ्योऽभिजनवानस्मि कोऽन्योऽस्ति सदृशो मया | यक्ष्ये दास्यामि मोदिष्य इत्यज्ञानविमोहिताः

āḍhyo 'bhijanavān asmi ko 'nyo 'sti sadṛśo mayā | yakṣye dāsyāmi modiṣya ity ajñāna-vimohitāḥ

‘I am wealthy, of noble birth. Who else is equal to me? I will sacrifice, I will give, I will enjoy.’ Thus are they deluded by ignorance.

The asura defines value by āḍhya (wealth) and abhijana (noble birth). His rhetorical question: ko ‘nyaḥ asti sadṛśaḥ mayā — who else exists equal to me? This is competitive comparison instead of self-knowledge.

Even his “religious” acts are selfish: yakṣye (I will sacrifice), dāsyāmi (I will give), modiṣye (I will enjoy) — all for me, for my glory. Ity ajñāna-vimohitāḥ — thus deluded/blinded by ignorance. The dambha (hypocrisy) of BG 16.4 manifests here.
