Hypocrisy, arrogance, pride, anger, harshness, and also ignorance — these are the riches of one who is born for the demoniac, O Pārtha.

Beginning of the list of demoniac qualities (āsurī-sampat). Dambha — hypocrisy, religious ostentation. Darpa — arrogance, presumption. Abhimāna — pride, false identification with what is not oneself. Krodha — anger. Pāruṣya — harshness, roughness of word and treatment. Ajñāna — ignorance, non-knowledge of true nature.

This is the sampad (wealth/fortune) āsurī — demoniac, belonging to asura. It is the temperament of abhijātasya — one born with this disposition.
