Sāṅkhya Yoga · Verse 52
"यदा ते मोहकलिलं बुद्धिर्व्यतितरिष्यति | तदा गन्तासि निर्वेदं श्रोतव्यस्य श्रुतस्य च"
"yadā te moha-kalilaṃ buddhir vyatitariṣyati | tadā gantāsi nivedaṃ śrotavyasya śrutasya ca"
When your wisdom crosses the thicket of confusion, then you will reach dispassion toward what is to be heard and what has been heard
The obstacle: moha-kalilam — the kalila (thicket, dense growth) of moha (confusion). It is dense, difficult to penetrate.
The achievement: vyatitariṣyati (will cross through) — when buddhiḥ penetrates beyond confusion. Then nirvṛtiḥ (dispassion, cessation of desire) arises.
Even śrotavyasya (toward what is to be heard — future study) and śrutasya (toward what has been heard — accumulated erudition). Knowledge itself is transcended.
