Who is free from thirst in becoming, without desire in all becomings; disconnected from pleasures, that one is called Brahman.
Now thirst in bhava — becoming. Not only sensual pleasures, but also the desire to be something, someone, somewhere. Exhausting this thirst is more subtle.
The brāhmaṇa has no project of being. One has ceased projecting future existences.
