Vibhūti Yoga · Verse 17
कथं विद्यामहं योगिंस्त्वां सदा परिचिन्तयन् | केषु केषु च भावेषु चिन्त्योऽसि भगवन्मया
kathaṃ vidyām ahaṃ yogiṃs tvāṃ sadā paricintayan | keṣu keṣu ca bhāveṣu cintyo 'si bhagavan mayā
How may I know You, oh supreme yogi, by constantly meditating upon You? In which and which entities should one meditate upon You, oh Blessed One?
The practical question of the devotee. Kathaṃ vidyām — how to know? — the method of jñāna (knowledge). Paricintayan — meditating — the process of dhyāna (meditation).
Keṣu keṣu ca bhāveṣu — in which and which entities — where to look for the manifestations. Cintyaḥ asi — should be meditated upon — the valid object of meditation.
Arjuna asks for a practical compendium to recognize the Lord in everyday life.
