Tṛtīyopadeśaḥ (Mudrā) · Verse 8

The internal components of Mahāmudrā: khecarī mudrā with the tongue touching the palate, contraction of the heart (possibly uḍḍiyana or jālandhara), and meditation on the divine.
The tongue at the palate seals the upper circuit. The abdominal contraction seals the lower. Between them, energy is trapped and directed toward the center.
Meditation is not optional; it is an integral part of the technique. Mahāmudrā is simultaneously physical, energetic, and contemplative. Without the devotional dimension, it loses its transformative power.
