Akṣara-Parabrahman Yoga · Verse 12

सर्वद्वाराणि संयम्य मनो हृदि निरुध्य च | मूर्ध्न्याधायात्मनः प्राणमास्तितो योगधारणाम्

sarva-dvārāṇi saṃyamya mano hṛdi nirudhya ca | mūrdhny ādhyā ātmanaḥ prāṇam āstito yoga-dhāraṇām

Controlling all the gates of the senses, confining the mind in the heart, raising the prāṇa of the being to the head, established in yoga concentration.

Prāṇāyāma technique: sarva-dvārāṇi saṃyamya — controlling all the “gates” (eyes, ears, etc., the senses). Mano hṛdi nirudhya — mind confined (nirudhya, stopped) in the heart (hṛdaya, anāhata-cakra).

Mūrdhni ādhāya prāṇam — raising prāṇa to the head (sahasrāra). Result: āstitaḥ yoga-dhāraṇām — established in dhāraṇā (concentration), the sixth aṅga of classical yoga.
