Saptamopadeśaḥ (Samādhi) · Verse 12
लययोगं ततः प्रोक्तं योगिनां सिद्धिदायकम् | तत्प्रकारं प्रवक्ष्यामि शृणु त्वं कमलानने ||
layayogaṃ tataḥ proktaṃ yogināṃ siddhidāyakam | tatprakāraṃ pravakṣyāmi śṛṇu tvaṃ kamalānane ||
The fourth samādhi: Laya yoga — yoga of dissolution. Laya means dissolve, dissipate, merge. It is absorption in the element or in the energy.
In Laya yoga, the practitioner dissolves into the object of meditation — an element, an energy center, or directly into the space of consciousness.
“Giver of perfection” — dissolution of the ego is liberation. When there is no one left to practice, practice is complete.
