That is the white, the white, the white, the white —the primordial form of Agni, the light by which the knower purifies his actions. He who thus knows, he who thus knows, he who thus knows.

The repetition of śveta (white) intensifies its meaning: purity, luminosity, transcendence of colors. This is the “primordial form” of Agni, the very light before manifesting as heat or consumption. The vidvān (knower) uses this light to punāti (purify) his karmas (actions) —not abandoning them but transforming them. In our yoga practice, this means that action done with awareness of Reality does not bind but liberates. The triple repetition of “he who thus knows” emphasizes that this transformative knowledge is the key to all.
