Śūnya Dhāraṇā · Dhāraṇā 24
शरीरस्यान्तराकाशं विचिन्त्यानन्यचेतसा । मनागन्तरमात्मानं ध्यायन्विमुक्तमात्मसु ॥
śarīrasyāntarākāśaṃ vicintyānanyacetasā | manāg antaram ātmānaṃ dhyāyan vimuktam ātmasu ||
Contemplating the inner space of the body with mind unipointed, meditating on the Self as slightly separate and free in all beings.
Twenty-fourth dhāraṇā. First technique of void. Śarīrasya antarākāśam — the inner space of the body. Not the organs, tissues, bones. The space between them. The space within every cell. The void that constitutes most of matter.
Ananyacetasā — with mind that goes nowhere else. Total concentration on that inner space. Manāg antaram — slightly separate. The Self is perceived as subtle distance from the body. Not completely identified with it. Not completely outside. A slight space of freedom.
Vimuktam ātmasu — free in all beings. When you discover the space within you, you discover the same space in all. Freedom is not personal. It is the very nature of the space of consciousness that inhabits all bodies.
