Dhyāna Dhāraṇā · Dhāraṇā 103
लेलिहानैकविषमं भवनं भावयेत्ततः । सर्वतः स्वशरीरस्य जगत्सर्वं विलीयते ॥
lelihānaikasaviṣamaṃ bhavanaṃ bhāvayet tataḥ | sarvataḥ svaśarīrasya jagat sarvaṃ vilīyate ||
Contemplate existence as flames licking in all directions from one's own body. Then the whole universe dissolves.
Hundred-third dhāraṇā. Dissolving fire. Lelihānaikasaviṣamam — like tongues of fire licking irregularly. The image is of a cosmic fire emanating from one’s own body in all directions. Not destructive fire. Purifying fire.
Bhavanaṃ bhāvayet — contemplate this existence. Visualize the entire universe burning. All you see, all you know, consumed by flames born from your own center. The flames do not burn. They dissolve.
Sarvataḥ svaśarīrasya jagat sarvaṃ vilīyate — the whole universe dissolves in all directions from your body. Vilīyate — it melts, it dissolves. At the end of the visualization nothing remains. Neither universe, nor body, nor fire itself. Only the consciousness that contemplated. Alone. Infinite. Without object. That is you.
