The previous verse dissolved the knower-known split; this verse universalizes the identity of all with Brahman. Seeing that everything is formless, sat-cid-ānanda, the sage is free from fear and desire. In chapter 15 this vision is the root of mental stillness: the mind quiets not through discipline but because it sees that nothing need be sought or avoided. Even the mind’s own agitation is Brahman knowing itself, so rest is possible without opposition.
