Chapter 18 · Verse 23
कुत्रापि न जिहासास्ति नाशो वापि न कुत्रचित्
kutrāpi na jihāsāsti nāśo vāpi na kutracit | ātmārāmasya dhīrasya śītalācchatarā
In chapter 18 (Janaka’s liberation), verse 23 deepens the teaching of non-duality. In Advaita Vedānta philosophy, this verse of the Aṣṭāvakra Gītā reveals that freedom is inherent to the Self and requires no acquisition.
