Chapter 18 · Verse 30

नोद्विग्नं न च सन्तुष्टमकर्तृ स्पन्दवर्जितम्

nodvignaṃ na ca santuṣṭamakartṛ spandavarjitam | nirāśaṃ gatasandehaṃ cittaṃ muk

In chapter 18 (Janaka’s liberation), verse 30 deepens the teaching of non-duality. In Advaita Vedānta philosophy, this verse of the Aṣṭāvakra Gītā reveals that freedom is inherent to the Self and requires no acquisition.
