He who has no attachment anywhere, obtaining this or that, favorable or unfavorable, neither rejoices nor hates, his wisdom is established

The sthita-prajña (of established wisdom) is anabhisnehaḥ (without-attachment) sarvatra (everywhere). There is no object of attraction or repulsion.

Śubhāśubham (favorable and unfavorable) — the pair of opposites loses power over him. Na abhinandati (he does not celebrate, does not rejoice), na dveṣṭi (he does not hate, does not reject).

His prajñā (higher wisdom) is pratiṣṭhitā (established, firmly seated). There is no emotional or conceptual fluctuation.
