Prathamopadeśaḥ (Ṣaṭkarma) · Verse 36
एवं षट्कर्मनिर्मल्यं कृत्वा देहं यथाविधि | ततो देहे प्रसादः स्याद्बलं वह्निस्तथैव च ||
evaṃ ṣaṭkarmanirmalyaṃ kṛtvā dehaṃ yathāvidhi | tato dehe prasādaḥ syādbalaṃ vahnistathaiva ca ||
Conclusion of the ṣaṭkarma chapter. The body becomes nirmalya — free of withered flowers, metaphorically free of residues and obstructions. This purification creates the conditions for everything that follows.
Prasāda (clarity, grace, luminosity) is the result. This is not merely physical cleansing but a quality of transparency that allows consciousness to flow without obstruction.
Strength (bala) and fire (vahni) are the revitalized capacities of the purified body. The sādhaka is now ready for the practices of āsana.
