Dvitīyopadeśaḥ (Āsana) · Verse 14

Vajrāsana — the thunderbolt posture, or diamond. The vajra is the indestructible weapon of the god Indra, symbol of invincible spiritual power. This posture channels that energy.

“Giver of perfection” (siddhi-dāyakam). While other postures purify or prepare, Vajrāsana directly grants powers. It is a posture of manifestation.

The promise of no more birth is common to several principal postures, but here “together with the body” (kāyena saha) is emphasized. Liberation occurs in this very incarnation, not after death. It is jīvan-mukti, liberation in life.
