Śivasaṃhitā 5.97

The triad of mano-jaya (mental victory), vāyu retention and bindu conservation are not separate achievements but a single sublimation process. Mastering one is mastering all three: when mind stills, breath retains naturally; when bindu is preserved, mind loses its agitation. The Ajñā cakra is the point where this triad converges into a single realization.

Mano-jaya is conquest of mind (manas = mind, jaya = victory), vāyu vital breath and air as element, bindu the drop or point of concentrated vital energy (ojas), vidhāraṇā sustained retention. The «wise one who knows» (dhīmān) alludes to the specific type of discriminative intelligence (dhī) associated with the Ajñā.

Bindu in tantric philosophy is not only sublimated sexual energy but the point of concentration where all dispersed energy of being unifies. Its retention in the Ajñā creates what Tibetan traditions call «the immovable drop» at the brain’s center, source of samādhi’s clarity and bliss. The Śiva-saṃhitā integrates this bindu doctrine into its cakra map.
