जग्धिपानकृतोल्लासरसानन्दविजृम्भणात् । भावयेद्भरितावस्थां महानन्दस्ततो भवेत् ॥

jagdhipānakṛtollāsa-rasānandavijṛmbhaṇāt | bhāvayed bharitāvasthāṃ mahānandas tato bhavet ||

By expansion of bliss and delight of taste produced by eating and drinking — contemplate the state of fullness. From there arises great bliss.

Forty-second technique. The pleasure of eating and drinking. Jagdhipānakṛtollāsa — the exaltation produced by eating and drinking. Rasānandavijṛmbhaṇāt — by expansion of taste-bliss. Bhairava sacralizes the most ordinary.

Bharitāvasthām bhāvayet — contemplate the state of fullness. That moment where the first bite of something delicious fills the senses. Before mind judges, compares, analyzes. The pure instant of taste.

Mahānandaḥ tato bhavet — from there arises great bliss. Not gluttony. Full attention to legitimate bodily pleasure. Ascetic tradition denies the senses. Tantra uses them as doors. Taste of food, fully experienced without distraction, is as valid as any mantra. Difference lies in quality of attention, not the object.
