Viśva

concepto

All, everything, the entire universe, the whole — the totality of manifest existence. In the [[Mandukya Upanishad]], viśva is the first of the three states of consciousness: the waking state, identified with the gross body and external world.

The [[Bhagavad Gītā]] (11.7) shows Arjuna the viśva-rūpa — the universal form of [[Krishna]], containing all beings, all worlds, all times in a single overwhelming vision.

Beyond the particular, viśva points to the underlying unity. The cosmos is not a collection of separate things but one field of interdependent becoming. To see viśva rightly is to see through the illusion of isolation.
