तस्मै सुकृताय तपसे नमस्ते यो भवान् वेद तत् सत्यमस्ति नान्यथा परस्तस्मात् त्वं विष्टपस्त्वं धाम त्वं विश्वस्य परमं पदम्
tasmai sukṛtāya tapase namaste yo bhavān veda tat satyamasti nānyathā parastasmāt tvaṃ viṣṭapastvaṃ dhāma tvaṃ viśvasya paramaṃ padam
To Him, the benefactor, to austerity, our reverence. Who You are, That is the Truth. It is not otherwise. Beyond that, You are the support, You are the abode, You are the supreme state of the universe.
The close of the second chapter with reverence to sukṛta (the benefactor) and tapas (ardent spiritual practice). The affirmation “That is the Truth, it is not otherwise” (tat satyam asti nānyathā) is categorical: the reality of Brahman is absolute, not relative. He is viṣṭapa (support/foundation), dhāma (abode) and parama pada (supreme state) of viśva (the universe). In our yoga practice, this is consummation: discovering that all rests in Him, all dwells in Him, and all returns to Him. The verse concludes with the triple identification that establishes the totality of Realization.
