Śūnya Dhāraṇā · Dhāraṇā 28
हृद्याकाशे चिदाकाशं हुताशवद्विभावयेत् । वायुना सहितं विश्वं दग्ध्वा प्रशान्तभाव्भवेत् ॥
hṛdyākāśe cidākāśaṃ hutāśavad vibhāvayet | vāyunā sahitaṃ viśvaṃ dagdhvā praśāntabhāg bhavet ||
In the space of the heart, contemplate the space of consciousness as fire. The entire universe, along with the wind, is burned — one reaches the state of peace.
Twenty-eighth dhāraṇā. Visualization of fire in the heart space. Hṛdyākāśe cidākāśam — in the heart space, the space of consciousness. Hutāśavat — as sacrificial fire. The fire of consciousness that consumes all.
Vāyunā sahitaṃ viśvaṃ dagdhvā — burning the entire universe along with the wind (prāṇa). Not just external objects. Also the breath, the vital energy, thoughts. All fuel for the fire of consciousness.
Praśāntabhāg bhavet — one reaches complete peace. When all has been burned — identities, attachments, fears, hopes — what remains is sacred ash. And beneath the ash, the fire itself: pure consciousness, at peace because it has nothing to consume and nothing to fear.
