Chapter 1 · Verse 14

त्वया व्याप्तमिदं विश्वं त्वयि प्रोतं चराचरम्

tvayā vyāptam idaṃ viśvaṃ tvayi protaṃ carācaram

The Self is not merely within the body — the entire universe (viśva) is pervaded by it (vyāpta), and all movement and stillness (carācara) are woven within it (prota). This is the ānanda-maya vision: Brahman is not a distant creator but the very fabric of existence. Since the Self is pure (śuci), desireless (nirāśā), unchanging (nirvikāra), and firm (dṛḍha), the question of renouncing or accepting anything becomes meaningless — you cannot renounce what you never possessed, nor accept what already pervades you. This echoes Īśa Upaniṣad’s “īśāvāsyam idaṃ sarvam.”
