Chapter 11 · Verse 8

एको द्रष्टा त्वमात्मा चिद्रूपो नान्यदस्ति ते

eko draṣṭā tvamātmā cid-rūpo nānyad asti te

You are the only witness, the Ātman of the nature of Consciousness. There is nothing other than you. All that seems to exist is only a reflection within you, as in a mirror. Chapter 11 portrays the free sage. Here the sākṣī is presented as the essence: not an observer looking at the world, but the Consciousness in which the world appears. The mirror is not affected by the reflections it holds.
