Neither saṃsāra nor mokṣa, neither body nor mind — all are merely the mind’s play (manoratha). The desire for liberation is the last desire, the subtlest bondage. Renouncing the desire for mokṣa is the most difficult renunciation — and the most liberating. In chapter 5, this insight deepens: who would need liberation if there is no one bound?
