Guṇa-Traya-Vibhāga Yoga · Verse 14
यदा सत्त्वे प्रवृद्धे तु प्रलयं याति देहभृत् | तदोत्तमविदां लोकानमलान्प्रतिपद्यते
yadā sattve pravṛddhe tu pralayaṃ yāti deha-bhṛt | tadottama-vidāṃ lokān amalān pratipadyate
When luminosity is predominant at death, the embodied one goes to the worlds of those who know the highest, the pure ones.
Death in sattva leads to birth in auspicious conditions: uttama-vidāṃ lokān — worlds of those who know the highest. These are higher realms or fortunate human births.
Amalān — pure ones — refers to liberated beings or highly evolved souls. Association with such beings accelerates spiritual progress.
This is not final liberation but favorable conditions for continued practice. The jīva continues its journey through the appropriate lokas.
