Loka

World, plane of existence. Hindu cosmology describes fourteen lokas distributed vertically. Brahmaloka, Vaikuṇṭha and Satyaloka are counted among the supreme destinations of the liberated. Each loka reflects a level of consciousness; to ascend through the lokas is to ascend in understanding.
