Daivāsura-Sampad-Vibhāga Yoga · Verse 24
तस्माच्छास्त्रं प्रमाणं ते कार्याकार्यव्यवस्थितौ | ज्ञात्वा शास्त्रविधानोक्तं कर्म कर्तुमिहार्हसि
tasmāc chāstraṃ pramāṇaṃ te kāryākārya-vyavasthitau | jñātvā śāstra-vidhānoktaṃ karma kartum ihārhasi
Therefore, scripture is your authority in the determination of what should and should not be done. Knowing what is prescribed by scripture, you should perform action here.
Practical conclusion. Tasmāt — therefore. Śāstra is pramāṇa — epistemic authority, valid criterion of knowledge. Scope: kārya-akārya-vyavasthitau — in the determination of what should (kārya) and should not (akārya) be done.
Instruction: jñātvā — knowing, śāstra-vidhāna-uktam — what is said by the regulation of śāstra. Karma kartum — to perform action. Iha arhasi — you should do here, in this world. Scripture does not deny action but directs it, transforming it into karma-yoga.
