Come, come — thus the oblations, brilliant through the rays of the sun, carry the sacrificer. With sweet words they welcome and glorify him: This is your world of merit, O well-doer, the world of Brahman.

The welcome in higher worlds for one who has performed the rituals correctly.

Ehi ehi — come, come. The benevolent call, the invitation to enter the world earned by merit.

Suvarcasaḥ — brilliant, beautiful. The solar rays illuminated by the sacrificer’s oblations.

Yajamānam — the sacrificer, the one who performs the ritual. Well-performed ritual action has tangible results.

Priyāṃ vācam — sweet words. The inhabitants of higher worlds receive the newcomer with affection.

Brahmalokaḥ — the world of Brahmā. An elevated state of existence, but still within conditioned manifestation.

Puṇyaḥ sukṛtaḥ — world of merit, well-doer. Fruit of good actions, temporary but valuable.

The yogī understands that this is a milestone on the path, not the end. The world of Brahmā eventually dissolves; only knowledge of Brahman liberates definitively.
