Śvetāśvatara Upaniṣad · 6..14
य इमं मनुष्येषु विदित्वा मनुष्येषु वसन् य इमं मनुष्येषु विदित्वा मनुष्येषु वसन्
ya imaṃ manuṣyeṣu viditvā manuṣyeṣu vasan ya imaṃ manuṣyeṣu viditvā manuṣyeṣu vasan
Who, knowing this among humans, dwells among humans. Who, knowing this among humans, dwells among humans.
Eighth repetition, extending the liturgy beyond the conventional. In our yoga practice, this teaches us that there is no limit to contemplation. Each repetition is an opportunity to go deeper, to let the phrase penetrate subtler layers of the mind. The sage who knows and dwells is the ideal of jīvanmukti —liberation in life, not after death. The eighth repetition reminds us that knowledge is infinite, presence eternal.
