य इमं मनुष्येषु विदित्वा मनुष्येषु वसन् य इमं मनुष्येषु विदित्वा मनुष्येषु वसन्

ya imaṃ manuṣyeṣu viditvā manuṣyeṣu vasan ya imaṃ manuṣyeṣu viditvā manuṣyeṣu vasan

Who, knowing this among humans, dwells among humans. Who, knowing this among humans, dwells among humans.

Seventh repetition, completing the pattern of perfection. Seven is the complete number —the seven lokas, the seven ṛṣis, the seven cakras. In our yoga practice, this final repetition of the phrase leaves us in the presence of the ineffable. The sage who knows and dwells has realized the unity of jñāna and karma, of knowledge and action. There is no separation between what they know and how they live. The seventh repetition is the consummation: the message has become presence, the word has become silence.
