Prakaraṇa 6 · Verse 1

न शून्ये सन्ति भोगाः स्युः न शून्ये भिक्षुर् अस्ति वा । विश्वम् एव निराकारं वासनाख्यम् इति स्थितम् ॥

na śūnye santi bhogāḥ syuḥ na śūnye bhikṣur asti vā | viśvam eva nirākāraṃ vāsanākhyam iti sthitam ||

Neither in the void are there enjoyments, nor in the void is there an enjoyer. The entire universe is essentially formless, and that which we call ‘world’ is nothing but a residue of latent impressions.

A radical declaration inaugurates the Prakaraṇa of liberation: the perceived world does not even exist as such.
