Without concepts, without form, without qualities — only Brahman; such is all. What, then, is there to know? What is there to renounce, accept, or reject? Be aware of this and be free. Chapter 12 expands the recognition from identity to totality: it is not only the sage who is Brahman, but everything. The chapter’s movement is from the personal realization of Janaka to the impersonal vision of the whole universe as the Self.
