Wherever there is contentment, there is samādhi; wherever there is desire, there is suffering. Be aware of this and be ever free. In Chapter 13 this correlation is read from the already established happiness of the sage. The sage does not practice contentment — he discovers that contentment is his nature. Samādhi is not an altered state of consciousness but the natural state that appears when desire no longer clouds vision.
