The vision of the realized one: the entire jagat (universe) is the Ātman itself. For the great being (mahātmā) who knows this, there is no pain or pleasure because there is no separate experiencer. In chapter 5, this is no longer a teaching received but a truth verified — the question is no longer rhetorical but lived.
