Chapter 5 · Verse 5

न तस्य कश्चिद्धर्मोऽस्ति नाधर्मो नापि मोक्षणम्

na tasya kaścid dharmo'sti nādharmo nāpi mokṣaṇam

The negation of dharma, adharma, and mokṣa returns. Neither heaven nor liberation are “states” of his — states imply change, and the Self is changeless. He is free in every place. In chapter 5, this negation carries the weight of repeated confirmation: the same truth, seen from yet another angle, yields the same conclusion.
