Aṣṭāvakra returns to the core formula of non-dual discernment: the body, intellect, and mind are not the Self, nor do they belong to it. By relinquishing every claim, one rests as supreme Consciousness. In verse 5.10 this negation has deepened into spontaneous recognition rather than repeated effort. The commands to be happy and free are no longer instructions but descriptions of the natural state. Supreme Consciousness does not become; it simply is.
