Chapter 6 · Verse 6

सर्वं ब्रह्ममयं ज्ञात्वा निर्द्वन्द्वो निर्भयो भव

sarvaṃ brahma-mayaṃ jñātvā nirdvandvo nirbhayo bhava

Seeing that all is Brahman, one becomes free from the pairs of opposites (dvandva) and without fear. Nothing remains to be feared or lost, for the Self is fullness, peace, and freedom itself. In chapter 6 this recognition is no longer an aspiration but the familiar territory of the sage. The command “be free” is not a promise of future reward but a description of what is already the case.
