Only one without division is Brahman, and nothing else exists. In chapter 7 this declaration extends even to the notion of prārabdha-karma. If there is only Brahman, who experiences the residual fruits of past action? The body may follow its tendencies, but the Ātman was never the actor. Non-duality reaches into the last refuge of the ego: the belief that a portion of karma still belongs to “me.”
