For the realized one there is no virtue, no vice, no liberation as an attainment, no heaven, no other state. No condition anywhere binds him. In chapter 9 this applies to attraction and aversion: both the objects desired and the objects avoided are empty of any moral or spiritual claim upon the Ātman. Categories of dharma and adharma belong to the transactional world, not to the Self that is always free.
