Kṣetra-Kṣetrajña Yoga · Verse 15

सर्वेन्द्रियगुणाभासं सर्वेन्द्रियविवर्जितम् | असक्तं सर्वभृच्चैव निर्गुणं गुणभोक्तृ च

sarvendriya-guṇābhāsaṃ sarvendriya-vivarjitam | asaktaṃ sarva-bhṛc caiva nirguṇaṃ guṇa-bhokṛ ca

Appearing as the possessor of the qualities of all senses, yet free from all senses; unattached, sustaining all, without qualities, yet the enjoyer of qualities.

Paradoxical attributes point beyond conceptual grasp. Brahman seems to perceive through senses (guṇābhāsa) but is not limited by them.

Asakta — unattached — despite sarva-bhṛt — supporting all. The world depends on Brahman; Brahman depends on nothing.

Nirguṇa — without guṇas — yet guṇa-bhoktṛ — experiencer of guṇas. Pure consciousness witnesses the play of nature without being modified by it.
